ANTIQUE DOLL DISPLAY ANTIQUE FRENCH GORGEOUS MERRY GO ROUND CAROUSEL LIGHTS UP
Wonderful Antique French (from one of my trips awhile ago ) Merry Go Round Carousel
from France and hand-made of light weight wood------- please read all
as I tried to detail all I see to show you the beauty and uniqueness of this hand made piece.
The base beneath shows the mechanism and the center turns by means of a handle at the one side.
Amazing in beauty of the entire piece having the center able to turn by means of the handle.
Due to age when the handle turns-- it performs well-- however the wooden
carriages turn slowly with a gentle up and down movement--you have to turn the handle slowly
as due to the by hand movement it preforms like a sticky bumpy up and down...
which I believe was meant to be --by the craftsmen who made it.
Each wood carriage within seems to be hand made as well which one might
wish to add one of their bisque dolls to sit inside or stand beside gorgeous piece..
Each is Hand painted also. ..
Its an Magnificent Piece !!
Each section was cut individually and this entire piece was made by hand.
Done in fabulous colors of pinks and blue and off white, gold, and cream colors.
The French word "Caisse" is shown in wood on the one section having colored paper
behind  and when the center light is lit ---everything reflects within.
Notice how this entire section is hand carved out showing each section of the colored paper.
Small Brass applied Lyre pieces surround the center lower panels in addition to wonderful
French gold and blue fringe going up and down each section bar.
Please also notice the inner two-tone walk way surrounding the center outer section... it is done in a white with wood grain effect...  again hand done..
This is truly a Charming hand made French Merry Go Round / Carousel to cherish forever.
One brass Lyre fall out which will be glued back in addition to one of the gold wood small railing shown  in the photo.
I had the light & wire cord replaced for the USA plug professionally so the wire is good for plugging into any USA socket. The entire center light area is made of wood having Antique fringe and wired to upper.
***  Measures: 22"- 25" widest with fringe at upper width across the top  by 19" at base width by 22" Tall. approx size.
Note: after photos the blue tassel at center upper fall off..
it can be re-glue and I will ship it when purchased if you wish to re glue back on which is so minor..
Please note:  Each section has beautiful Antique French fabric behind and at upper... Each being hand cut for each section shown & applied and glued.  The fabric is Antique also...
This piece took so much time to make and each section has something special and would
certainly adorn any area you wish to display this piece.
Carriages:  3" long (Pink) by 2.5" inside...
And White carriage: 3"  Long and the Largest Pink carriage is 4" long.  Each is hand made in wood.
