    2 OLD STONEWARE GINGER JARS
    Lovely matching pair of old stoneware pottery ginger jars and lids, each measuring about 9-1/2" tall and 26" in circumference. Featuring a simple bulbous shape with a rolled shoulder, narrow collar and matching lid, they are beautifully decorated in hand applied cobalt blue stencil designs around the body of the piece - pattern name is Double Happiness with Chinese characters and stylized Lotus Blossoms. The area around the upright collar has been intentionally left unglazed - the interior is glazed - the underside bears a faint red chop mark of MADE IN CHINA.
    Condition is very nice with no chips, cracks, hairlines, repairs, discoloration or damage -- a few tiny production flaws on the top edge side as shown. Hoping someone will love these as I have - a large and striking pair - dramatic addition to any collection or display!
